A beautiful day, great friends, great food...all these put together equal
the sandwich ride. Andy got up early and put directional signs on County
Roads 480, 481, and 491 while Sue and Karen were in
the Michel's kitchen preparing lunch for all. Ten trailers showed
up at the staging area with 18 horses and 21 people. The first
riders went out at 11 a.m. On the trail the riders were given
numbered tickets . The numbers matched numbers on the sandwiches.
The ride lasted about three hours with a couple of watering spots
for the horses. Once back at the staging area, Sue set up lunch.
Sue had prepared egg salad sandwiches, tuna salad sandwiches, bacon, lettuce,
tomato sandwiches and meat sandwiches.
She called out the number on the sandwiches and the person
with the corresponding number came and got it and then fixed their luncheon
plate with all the other goodies Sue had brought. Two more of our members
showed up making out total count of attendees at 23. This was a good ride, if
you were there, great!...if not, please plan on joining us next year. You will
be glad you did!!! (Kudos to Sue for another job well done!)
